Lunch

Two 7-11 hotdogs with relish, onions, ketchup, mayo and jalapeño.

It’s the antidote for all the fruit and veggies I have been eating.

You Think Your days Aren’t Going So Well?

AP – DANVERS, Mass. – A man in Danvers Massachusetts was cleaning a vacuum operated sausage seasoning machine when he got his head and shoulders sucked in and became stuck.

Somebody called 911 and they got him free. He didn’t seem any the worse for wear but they transported him to the hospital where he was checked and released.

So far there’s no indication of how the machine got turned on. OSHA is investigating.

In further news, in the UK, the London Daily Telegraph, along with several other news services, called Briton Robert Dee the “world’s worst tennis pro.” So he got pissed and sued.

A bunch of the news agencies apologized but the Telegraph refused.

Well, it got to court: The judge looked at Mr. Dee’s record of 54 consecutive loses, all in straight sets, and found in favor of the Telegraph. Saying “If you’re not ‘the world’s worst pro,’ you’re close enough.”
=========================

And finally we have Matthew Van McDaniel, 25, of Los Alamitos, who got drunk -his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit- and drove his Mercedes into the James Musick Correctional Facility in Irvine.–You read that right: He drove straight through a jailhouse gate.

Mr. McDaniel then broke an officer’s nose when they tried to restrain him.

The final tally on this guy: One felony count of aggravated assault on an officer, one felony count of being an ex-convict entering the grounds of a correctional facility, one misdemeanor count of reckless driving, one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol and one misdemeanor count of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or more. –For a grand total of nine years.

He cut a deal because he is an ex-felon and could have faced even more time if he had gone to trial.

Airport Full Body Scanners Won’t Invade Your Privacy –Would I Lie?

From The Sun:
Security guard John Laker, 25, took a photo of Margetson’s breasts when she mistakenly walked into the X-ray machine, which makes “nude” images of passengers to find hidden weapons.

The Sun: An airport security worker plans to sue her bosses after a colleague leered at her “naked” image in an anti-terror body scanner.

Jo Margetson, 29, spent yesterday in crisis talks with Heathrow owner BAA.

She has consulted lawyers at civil rights group Liberty amid claims her privacy and human rights were breached. She could be entitled to £20,000.

NSFW — For those saying these things don’t show detail here is a site that shows just how detailed these images are.

England’s Transport Secretary Lord Adonis defended the use of these scanners.

“A pat-down search is intrusive but people accept that,” he said.

“A body scanner is in the same category. Images are deleted and staff are properly trained and supervised.”

Right. If everybody is trustworthy, properly trained and supervised, how come this woman is suing?
