A record company executive who police said failed to control a crowd of 3,000 at Roosevelt Field mall during a planned Justin Bieber album signing pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges Saturday.

Nassau police said James A. Roppo’s failure to send out a Twitter message to disperse the hordes resulted in an officer and others receiving minor injuries.

Roppo, 44, of Hoboken, N.J., was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, obstruction of governmental administration, reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance.

Police said that Roppo, senior vice president for sales for Island Def Jam Records, was at the mall Friday and hindered crowd control by not cooperating when police requested that he send a Twitter message asking the crowd to leave.

The cops say think a simple Twitter message would have calmed the crowd and they all would have left peacefully. –Yeah, Right. On what planet?

You’ve got 3000 teenyboppers with their hormones in full rage who scream and cry at the sight of this latest heartthrob and they’re going to care what somebody says on Twitter?

The first thing any of those girls is going to do, assuming for the moment that they notice a new tweet, is say it’s a fake.

Since then, only one alleged hate crime against Muslims has been directly tied to the Fort Hood rampage.

Two days after the rampage by an alleged lone wolf jihadist killed 13 in Texas, a Tinley Park, Ill., woman grumbled about the massacre and tugged the headscarf of a US-born Muslim woman, Amal Abusumayah, standing in line at a local grocery store.

Reaction was swift and, as prosecutors announced this week, serious: The alleged scarf-puller, Valerie Kenney, is charged with a hate crime, and she could face three years in prison and a $25,000 fine if convicted.

Why is there no mention of “hate crime” when a Muslim shouts Allah Akbar and kills Americans or an Imam stands in a mosque and incites his congregation to hate anyone who is not Muslim?

“Couple Busted for Refusing to Pay Tip”

Pope and John Wagner were hauled away by police and charged with theft for not paying the mandatory 18 percent gratuity totaling $16 after eating at the Lehigh Pub in Bethlehem, Pa. with six friends.

According to the dictionary a gratuity is “A favor or gift, usually in the form of money, given in return for service.”

The service sucked and the couple didn’t feel they should be forced to tip someone who didn’t do their job. –This was a mistake, because the “gratuity” is part of the bill so they wound up being arrested for theft and now have to appear before a judge next month.

The asshole that owns the joint doesn’t understand why it’s called a gratuity and not a tax and doesn’t see anything wrong with forcing people to reward the losers that give crappy service.

Well now he’s made national news with his extortionist tactics and maybe his business will fall off enough to make him see the light.

I wonder how much of this unofficial tax the owner is skimming?

The regional directorate for the central Russian Perm Region reported on Friday that local law enforcement agencies had instigated a criminal case into the incident when three homeless people killed a 25-year-old man and sold his remains to a fast food street outlet.

The investigators said the three men attacked their victim with knives and a hammer. “After carrying out the attack, the corpse was dismembered. Part of it was eaten and part was also sold to a kebab and pie kiosk,” their statement said.

A fast food shop owner murdered a teenager before joking her body had been chopped up and ‘put into the kebabs’, a court heard.

Iyad Albattikhi is accused of killing 14-year-old Charlene Downes, who it is claimed he had regular ‘kinky sex’ with in an alleyway.

Mohammed Reveshi, who co-owned Funny Boyz fast food shop with Albattikhi, is accused of helping to dispose of the body.

Charlene, from Blackpool, went missing on November 1, 2003. Her body has not been found.

I don’t think I’ll be eating any more kebabs.
