President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad strikes again

February 28th, 2008 by admin

This article was on Breitbart.com
Number One
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared on Thursday that Iran was the world’s “number one” power, as he launched a bitter new assault on domestic critics he accused of siding with the enemy.

“Everybody has understood that Iran is the number one power in the world,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech to families who lost loved ones in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

Why do the Ayatollahs tolerate this buffoon?

I like a comment made on Digg:
“I don’t know what meds he’s taking, but judging by the perpetual smile and the whacked out statements, I think they need to adjust the dosage”

Keeping the peace? The El Al flight and the Israeli army officer

February 23rd, 2008 by admin

Keeping the peace? The El Al flight and the Israeli army officer - Home News, UK - Independent.co.uk
Maj-Gen Almog had planned to visit the UK in September 2005 to pay various social and charitable calls on Jewish communities in Solihull, the West Midlands, and Manchester. As his plane touched down at Heathrow, a call from the Israeli embassy in London warned him that police were waiting to arrest him. The general and his wife refused to leave the plane. Two tense hours elapsed, while Det-Supt John MacBrayne, a senior counter-terrorism officer in charge of the operation, agonised over what to do.

By law the plane was on British soil and subject to British law.
Hmmm….. Have you ever seen or read anything on Israeli Air Marshals. About 30 seconds after the phone call, they would have taken up Uzis in addition to the pistols loaded with frangible rounds and would have taken positions to control access to the plane and secure the cockpit.

These marshals are trained in all or nothing close quarters combat and in a hostage situation consider a half a face to be plenty of target.

The price of trying to arrest him would have been much too high. —–But who dropped a dime?

The latest B-movie Terror

From environmentalgraffiti.comGiant SnakeHead
Cue irrational hysteria.
Raise overblown concerns for environmental and personal safety.
Begin report:
The giant snakehead is a carnivorous fish that feasts on pretty much anything in its path, and has caused all manner of destruction in places where it has been introduced. With the recent discovery of the fish in Britain, officials are scrambling to find a possible solution to this dreaded environmental issue.

Maybe you think it’s overstating the problem a bit. After all it’s just a fish, right? Wrong. This is not your everyday fish. For one thing, the giant snakehead can kill you. Female snakeheads have been known to attack and sometimes actually kill human beings who get too close to juvenile fish.

The giant snakehead will eat absolutely everything in a body of water then crawl over land to the next pond or lake. If there’s an infestation near any other bodies of water, those other areas are almost sure to be infested soon because the snakehead can survive four days out of water while it looks for a new home.

While they are considered a potential environmental disaster in this country, in South-east Asia they raise these as sport fish. They also say the species is quite tasty.

Scene from Romancing the Stone;
A snake crawls over a womans shoulder and is killed by the hero.

He: “Goddamn bushmaster.”
She: “Is it poisonous?”
He: “Yeah…. But very tasty.”

U.S. weekly massacres: Gunman opens fire at Illinois University

February 19th, 2008 by admin

U.S. weekly massacres: Gunman opens fire at Illinois University.” This was the headline in one section of Pravda.RU.

I repeat my oft asked question. What is wrong with the system?

In October in Ohio:
A high school student said Thursday that attack by his former classmate, who had killed and wounded four people and shot himself, could be prevented, for the gunmen had warned their principal about his bloody plans. –The principle did nothing.

In the most recent incident a former Northern Illinois University student had a history of mental problems and was on medication. –He was still allowed to buy the weapons legally.

The Virginia Tech student had a similar history. –He was still allowed to buy the weapons legally.

I understand the patient’s right to privacy.
I understand psychiatrists not wanting to commit to a solid diagnosis because of a sue happy world. (And in my opinion, equally do to a general lack of expertise or even competence in the profession.)

But what I don’t understand is; when dealing with a delusional or potentially violent person, why don’t they build in some basic safe guards and simply put a tag in the ATF database that says, “don’t sell this person firearms?”
This is the one time that something like the Brady bill would be useful and it’s the one time that they don’t use it.

Joplin Mo. Judge denies bond reduction in school-gun case

February 17th, 2008 by admin

Judge denies bond reduction in school-gun case.

The short version:
This 15 year old is accused of taking an assault rifle on Oct. 9, 2006, to Memorial Middle School, pointing the gun at an assistant superintendent, firing it into a ceiling of the school and repeatedly attempting to shoot the school principal as he was escorting him out of the building. …..Wasn’t this guy smart enough to take the weapon away?!? This is just the sort of genius I want running my child’s school if there’s an emergency.

Police say the gun jammed after the initial shot because of an improperly seated magazine.

Now the public defender says that because this person, who has been certified as an adult, is isolated from the general population in the jail, isn’t allowed to go to school, and can only see his mommy once a month, this constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.

This punk tried to kill somebody and we should feel sorry for him???

What the hell is up with all these school shootings?
—New gun laws won’t help. The father was arrested on weapons charges relating to this case, so a change in the law would not have mattered.

We’re talking about a cultural problem, and in some cases a complete bungling of the way their insanity was treated.

CNN News Reporting

February 16th, 2008 by admin

This is the headline from CNN:
Company: Gunman, Virginia Tech shooter used same Web dealer.
NUI shooterSteven Kazmierczak

It seems that Seung-Hui Cho, the Virginia Tech shooter and Steven Kazmierczak, the Northern Illinois University shooter used the same online supplier for gun accessories…. An interesting coincidence but hardy headline making.

This article turns out to be nothing more than an excuse to detail what has already been written a thousand times about Steven Kazmierczak.

The part that bothers me are the links within the article, with titles like “see photos of the victims” and “watch the father break down.” This last being described by CNN as “A tearful Robert Kazmierczak stepped onto his porch and asked reporters to go away Friday.”

This type of reporting shows the breakdown of any sort of compassion or morals in the press.

The entire press corps have become paparazzi with absolutely no respect or consideration for anyone…… It’s all about the Benjamins and nothing else matters.

Maryland Delegate Resigns After Investigation

Maryland Delegate Resigns After Investigation
McKee
Picture from the Harold Mail.

Delegate Robert A. McKee, chairman of the General Assembly’s western Maryland delegation, resigned from that position and as executive director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Washington County.
The FBI came in at the request of the local Sheriff’s Department looking for kiddie porn.

Washington County Sheriff Douglas Mullendore, at a press conference Friday afternoon, said his department received a telephone call on Jan. 31, alleging there was child pornography in McKee’s home.

Deputies searched McKee’s home later on that same date.
As a result of a search, deputies seized two computers, about 30 videotapes, and a “significant amount” of printed material, Mullendore said.
No charges have been filed.
Experts at the sheriff’s office are looking for evidence of crimes on the computers.
The FBI became involved in the investigation at the request of the Washington County State’s Attorney’s office, Mullendore said.
He said he believed a child had been living in the home, and that the child was not a blood relative of McKee’s.

McKee had this to say:
“In the meantime, I have entered treatment,” McKee said, without being more specific. “My primary focus is to get well and stay well. I know this can only happen with the support and prayers of my family and friends and the help of professionals.”

In other words, if you are a rich perv you have a chance of getting away with it if you go into “treatment.” If you are a poor perv they toss you into general population and yell “short eyes.”

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” on how to achieve health insurance coverage for all Americans.

“I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.”

Translation: We don’t care if you can’t keep food on the table. We’re doing it for your own good.

The Race is on

February 9th, 2008 by admin

The Democrats have a close race.
Clinton has won 1,055 delegates and Obama has 998 out of a total of 2,025 with similar war chests.

The Obama campaign says it got a $7 million bump after super Tuesday.

The Clinton camp is now claiming a similar fund raising bump, gaining $6.4 million.
They earlier admitted that the former first lady had lent her campaign $5m to paper over what aides called a “temporary cash flow problem”.
She has also hinted that she might loan her campaign more to stay competitive.

The Republican campaign is a done deal.
McCain has a lead with 719 delegates, Huckabee has 198 and Ron Paul has 14.

Huckabee swears he’s going to stay the distance.
–I think he’s deluded himself into thinking he got a shot at VP.

Romney’s suspended campaign still has 298 delegates.
–You notice he didn’t quit, he just suspended his campaign, so he gets to keep his delegates. Can you guess who plans on playing power broker?

Hillary Clinton is running strongly among women, Hispanics, and less well-off voters, while Barack Obama has the edge among African Americans, younger voters, and more affluent and college-educated Democrats.

The overall picture is, The Republicans will have McCain and the Democrats will have a race.

And everyone who knows they can’t win are holding out to trade for favors later.
