Ge carbon credits
GE has issued a new credit card that will allow users to buy carbon credits.
In voluntary emissions markets, consumers who feel guilty about their greenhouse emissions can buy offsets, or credits, designed to represent emissions reductions that took place somewhere else, like a solar or wind power farm.
It would seem that GE has found yet another way to separate a fool and his money.
The way I understand it, this carbon credit scam works by allowing major polluters to buy carbon credits from some place that doesn’t have heavy industry or large numbers of vehicles running on fossil fuels, and get credit for reduced emissions without having to reduce the amount of toxins they are dumping into the air.
This has been hailed by leaders around the world as a way to reduce pollution.
It’s a shame that anybody who is stupid enough to believe this cock and bull story is going to be too stupid to have enough cash on hand to buy my bridge.
